Job Details
Do you have Team Leading and Motor Claims experience? In this role, you’ll be responsible for a team of negotiators controlling claims cost and the quality of service delivered to our customers.
Main Responsibilities
1. To supervise a team, leading by example, maintaining discipline and motivating and mentoring team members so that each individual attains their true potential
2. To be responsible for training and development to ensure that the required levels of skills and experience are available
3. To carry out monthly 121 meetings to discuss performance and behaviour and to carry out formal annual and half-yearly assessments
4. To provide technical and job related support to team members ensuring company standards, procedures and compliance and fraud procedures are maintained
5. To communicate effectively at all levels and ensure timely feedback is given to the controller on success and failure by the team
6. To manage the workflow to ensure that KPI’s are maintained and reported
7. To carry out monthly quality audits for the purpose of individual assessment and publication of team attainment
8. Maintaining staff records in line with department and company guidelines
Knowledge - Skills and Experience
• Thorough understanding of claims procedures and handling skills
• Full understanding of Insurance industry / market agreements
• Proven experience in personal claims environment
• Investigate and reply to complaints addressed to the Customer Service Adviser
• Knowledge and experience of maximising motor recoveries
• In-depth experience of handling legal liability disputes
• Experience at identifying and handling fraud and the advanced questioning techniques required
• To conduct appraisals and maintain the claims career path records
• Team building skills, with the ability to motivate staff to achieve team performance
